A boarding bridge (10) having a frame element (16), a connection structure (17), and a tunnel (18) is disclosed. The frame element (16) includes a first side element (40) and a second side element (42) positioned spacedly therefrom. The connection structure (17) is secured to the first side element (40) and is adapted to connect the first side element (40) to structure associated with the passenger terminal (12). The tunnel (18) is mechanically associated with the frame element (16). The connection structure (17) provides for a rotation of the frame element (16) and its associated tunnel (18) about a vertical axis. The radius of rotation of the first side element (40) about the axis of rotation is dimensionally smaller than a similar radius of rotation of the second side element (42) about the same axis of rotation. |
