PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport mounts at a high speed with an inexpensive and small-sized stepping motor. SOLUTION: The device for carrying in the mounts has the stepping motor 102 for carrying-in, a carrying-in control means 300 which supplies the drive pulses of a first pulse rate to the stepping motor in order to let out the mounts 2 by one sheet each from a stocker 13 and can transport the mounts at least at a constant seed with respect to the load torque generated on account of the transportation of the mounts up to a set position 14 for image reading in the state of coming near to the set position, a carrying-in sensor 308 which detects the transportation of the mounts near to the upstream side in the set position, and a carrying-in counter 308 which counts the drive pulses. The carrying-in control means drives the stepping motor for carrying-in at a second pulse rate higher than the first pulse rate only for the prescribed time just before the carrying-in sensor detects the mounts after the start of the transportation of the mounts 2 and changes over the pulse rate in such a manner that the stepping motor for carrying-in is driven at the first pulse rate at the point of the time when the carrying-in sensor detects the mount. The carrying-in counter measures the prescribed number of the drive pulses and stops the motor drive after this changeover. |
