PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which includes silica and maintains a low Mooney viscosity and is excellent in rubber reinforcing property, dimensional stability, productivity, wear resistance and the like. SOLUTION: This rubber composition comprises a rubber component of 100 pts.wt. including at least one diene rubber, silica of 20-120 pts.wt. pretreated with a silane coupling agent of 2-15 wt.%, and alkoxysilane having 2-10 wt.% of the amount of silica before pretreatment with the silane coupling agent. It is preferable that the silane coupling agent includes a sulfur atom in the molecule and that the alkoxsilane includes a sulfur atom in the molecule and that the silica before pretreatment is a wet silica having a nitrogen adsorbing specific surface area of 70-300 m2/g measured by BET method.
