<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet conveying fault due to a contact of a following glued sheet with a sheet of an uppermost layer of a sheet bundle on a sheet container in the case of loading the sized sheet on the container, pressurizing a gluing unit, adhering between sheets and bookbinding the sheets. SOLUTION: A method for gluing and bookbinding comprises the steps of loading the glued sheet S on the sheet container 52 by a sheet conveying means, pressing the sizing unit of the sheets S and bookbinding the sheets, the conveying means has a gripping means 51 for gripping a distal end of the sheet, and a moving means 54 for moving the means 51 in a sheet conveying direction. The method also comprises the steps of gripping the distal end of the sheet at a predetermined position near an inlet of the container 52, conveying the sheet in the container 52 in a non-contact state by the means 54, releasing the griping of the distal end of the sheet when the sheet is conveyed to the predetermined position corresponding to a sheet size, and bumping the distal end of the sheet against a stop member 53.</p> |
