PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral paper tube shortening the time for an operation of winding a paper tape, having a strong rigidity against a ring crush and enabling reduction of the cost. SOLUTION: The spiral paper tube has a structure formed by a method wherein the paper tape 2 having cross-direction fibers 4 at a right angle or an obtuse angleθ1 to the longitudinal direction is wound and bonded in a plurality of layers spirally at a gentle angleθ2 of inclination to the center line 0 of a mandrel so that the cross-direction fibers 4 of the paper tape 2 have an angle of inclination opposite to the angleθ2 of inclination of the wind of the paper tape 2.
