PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fishline from fitting between line-winding barrel part and a flange part. SOLUTION: This spool 4 for a spinning reel consists essentially of a spool body 7 having the fishline-winding barrel part 7a with the outer periphery on which the fishline is wound, and the large-diameter cylindrical skirt part 7b integrally molded at the rear end part of the fishline-winding barrel part 7a, and a front flange part 8 attached to the front end part of the fishline-winding barrel part 7a. The fishline-winding barrel part 7a has a cylindrical part 7c, and an inner cylindrical member 7d attached to the inside periphery side of the cylindrical part 7c and made from a synthetic resin. A metallic reinforcing member 70 is attached between the front end part of the inner cylindrical member 7d and the front flange part 8. The reinforcing member 70 is, for example, a ring-like and tabular metallic ring member such as a washer.
