PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient method for detecting HIV-1 and an effective means for detecting HIV-1. SOLUTION: This method of detection for HIV-1 includes a process for confirming the presence or absence of HIV-1 by carrying out the amplification reaction of a nucleic acid which contains a part consisting of the part of HIV-1 env gene nucleotide sequence in which the nucleotide sequence is highly preserved between plural subtypes as a target sequence and by checking out whether the amplification of the nucleic acid is observed or not. The primer capable of being utilized in the detection of HIV-1 is a primer which contains a part consisting of the part of HIV-1 env gene nucleotide sequence in which the nucleotide sequence is highly preserved between plural subtypes as a target sequence. The kit for detecting HIV-1 includes a primer pair which contains a part consisting of the part of HIV-1 env gene nucleotide sequence in which the nucleotide sequence is highly preserved between plural subtypes as a target sequence. |
