<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for marking rollers whereby many rollers can be speedily, correctly and safely marked without a direction of the rollers being made incorrect and a production efficiency can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A plurality of rollers 2 are manufactured in a state in which the rollers continuously fitted to a mandrel 5 are surface treated so that outer circumferential faces show the same properties in the same rotation direction and different properties in the opposite rotation direction. In a marking process for the rollers 2 following the manufacturing process, spindles 15 of the same diameter as or a small diameter than a diameter of the mandrel 5 are continuously arranged in one line to one end of the mandrel, and the plurality of rollers 2 fitted to the mandrel 5 are directly shifted to the spindles 15. The marking process is accordingly sequentially carried out to one side faces of the rollers 2 in a state that a directivity of the surface treatment of all the rollers 2 outfitted to the spindles 15 is maintained the same.</p> |
