PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is excellent in deodorization effects and can extinguish offensive odors when they are discharged into the air, and an apparatus for materializing the method. SOLUTION: (1) An odorous gas is contacted with a filler and washed in a showering column (contacting column), (2) the gas washed in the showering column is sent to a heating chamber to be heated, (3) the dry gas heated in the heating chamber is sent to an exhaust cylinder, contacted with a thermal catalyst set in the cylinder to be deodorized further, and discharged into the air. |
