PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems which cause damage and deformation at a jet energy generation portion of substrate and at a grooved member when the substrate and the grooved member are to be bonded. SOLUTION: This liquid jet head comprises the substrate with electricity-heat conversion body, a grooved plate having grooves corresponding to the electricity- heat conversion bodies and a jetting exit communicating with one end of the groove, a channel to be communicated with the jetting exit by bonding the grooved plate to the substrate, so that liquid drip is jetted from this channel through the jetting exit. On the surface of the substrate, at least two projection portions projected from the surface are formed apart from each other and lock recess portions formed so as to correspond to the projection portions and position the grooved plate to the substrate by locking the projection portions are formed. The height from the surface of the substrate to the upper end of the projection portion is set to be higher than the height from the surface of the substrate to the upper end of the electricity-heat conversion body.
