PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium, which is excellent in recording sensitivity and suitable for high speed recording. SOLUTION: In the optical recording medium, which is formed by providing a recording layer, into or from which the writing and reading with laser beams can be done, on a substrate, the recording layer includes chelate coloring matters consisting of two or more different azo-based compounds in structure and metal ion having a valence of two or more so as to be selected from among the azo-based compounds. |
