PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid waste of sheet-like items and drastically cut expenses for printing. SOLUTION: A printed paper 10 is conveyed to a delivery part 19 by a first delivery chain 20. Its surface is inspected by a surface inspection device 26 when conveyed to a first inspection cylinder 22, and its rear surface is inspected by a rear surface inspection device 27 when conveyed to a second inspection cylinder 22. Based on these inspection results, a bar code for an identifying mark is printed on a marginal part of the paper 10 by an ink jet printer 35. The paper 10 having at least one pattern judged as defective and at the same time at least one pattern judged as non-defective out of a plurality of its patterns is identified by an identification mark. The identified paper 10 is sorted and piled on a from pile for the defective 41 different a pile for the non- defective 40 where only non-defective paper is piled. |
