Chromatographic process for resolving a mixture of the two enantiomers of the tetralone intermediate (II) formed during the synthesis of sertraline (I), eluting with a mixture containing carbon dioxide in the supercritical, critical, or subcritical state, the system percolating through an enantioselective stationary phase containing macrocyclic heterotopic coreceptors (MHCR).
