The invention relates to a device for correcting and maintaining the scoliotic curvatures of the spine by elongating the spine in the normal position and, at the same time, by derotating the scoliotic curvature, employed in orthopaedics, for treating scoliosis, spine fractures and other deformational diseases. According to the invention, the device for correcting and maintaining the scoliotic curvatures of the spine comprises some rods (1 and 2) with right-left-handed male thread at one of their ends, the first rod (1) having some conical stop members (b) of the latch type at the other end, said stop members (b) allowing the attachment of a hook (3) at various levels, along the rod, as well as the complete rotation of the hook (3) about the axis of said rod (1), the second rod (2) having the other end shaped as a cylindrical plug (d) whereon another hook (4) is mounted, said hook (4) is axially locked in a shoulder (e) of the rod (2) and is also allowed to describe a complete rotation of 360 degree about the axis of said rod (2), while the rods (1 and 2), provided with some wrench-driving recesses (f), are screwed with their threaded parts into an adjusting member (5) female-threaded at its both ends and provided with a hexagonal area (g), the hooks (3 and 4) are provided with some interior grooves (j) preventing their skid from the attachment point, the hook (3) on the rod (1) allowing an inclination angle of 12 degree while the hook (4) on the rod (2) allows an inclination angle of 4 degree when subjected to strain.
