The machine has a driven spindle, a spindle housing, which enables clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation. The free end of the spindle is adapted for reception of the chuck. There is an impact action arrangement which is available in the clockwise rotation mode. The machine has a tool reception unit in the chuck body (8), for the direct transmission of impacts via a connectable striking mechanism in the spindle housing, using the drilling spindle (5), or an anvil, clamped by the adjustable clamping jaws (12). There is also a switching mechanism for preventing counter clockwise rotation when the impact mechanism is switched on.
