The invention relates to a process for preparing propylene chlorohydrin by reacting propene in the liquid phase with aqueous solution of chlorine, which consists in feeding liquid propylene and aqueous solution of chlorine to a chlorohydrination area of a counter-current reactive extraction column liquid-liquid type, evacuating the excess of liquid propylene at the top, and draining the aqueous solution at the bottom, the aqueous solution comprising propylene chlorohydrin, chlorine hydride, propylene, within solubility limits, and some secondary products, and subjecting them to degasification to partially eliminate the dissolved propylene, and then to saponification and distillation in order to obtain the propenoxide.
