<p>In a communication system where a frame containing information comprising an arbitrary number of bits out of various numbers of bits, a receiver carries out a Viterbi decoding and a CRC operation when it receives a frame assuming that the frame contains information comprising bits whose number is the same as that of bits contained in the information in the immediately previous frame. On the basis of the result of the CRC operation, the number of bits included in the information contained in the frame is determined.</p> |
