PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct an error included in image data of a succeeding line within a prescribed time with high performance due to fluctuations in a luminous quantity of a lighting light caused at a subscanning stop period. SOLUTION: A peak detection gate period and a minimum peak value deciding a detection period of a reflected light are set to a setting storage section 62, and when a line memory section 60 stores data of one line in the case of capturing image data, a control section 63 stores a peak value of a reflected light for the set peak detection gate period, that is, a prescribed period set to a reference reflection member to a peak storage section 61. A comparison section 64 compares the peak value with a minimum peak value to discriminate whether or not the peak value is available for correction data, and when the peak value is not available for the correction data, the comparison section 64 decides it for other periods. When the peak value is not available for the correction data for any period or the time for the comparison expires as a result of checking the detection time, the comparison section 64 uses precedingly detected data.
