PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a problem found in an external heating type bath boiler in which hot water boiler in the is cooled with surrounding air, the cooled hot water flows into a bathtub through a lower connecting pipe and the hot water is rapidly cooled. SOLUTION: There is provided a pipe-like plug fixed to a lower connecting pipe of a bath boiler a reverse flow preventing valve is installed in the plug. This invention has a feature that when a combustion is carried out at the bath boiler, convection flow of hot water causes the inner valve to be pushed and the valve is automatically opened, resulting in that the valve is closed by its own weight when the combustion is not carried out at the bath boiler.
