PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume display which can reduce the flickering of digital display and besides can display the upper and lower limit values of digital display values. SOLUTION: A control circuit 5 increases or decreases a digital value according to the increase and decrease of the digital set value which is stored in a memory 6 corresponding to the digital signal outputted from an A/D converter 4, and detects the change of an analog signal and increases or decreases the digital value, making it have hysteresis which varies by the direction of change, when the direction of change of analog signal has changed, also makes the upper limit value of a digital set value a digital value, if the value of the digital signal supplied from the A/D converter 4 is not less than a first threshold value, and makes the lower limit value of the digital set value a digital value if it is not more than a second threshold value, when the digital set value corresponding to the digital signal supplied from the A/D converter 4 is an upper limit value or a lower limit value. These digital values are displayed on a liquid crystal unit 7.
