PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening plate for an external finish material, which adjusts the unevenness of a backing, to thereby eliminate irregularities on an external wall surface. SOLUTION: The fastening plate 1 is installed in a gap between engaging portions of upper and lower external finish materials 12 on a wall surface of a building, to thereby hold the external wall materials. The fastening plate 1 consists of engaging portions 4 for engaging with ends of the upper and lower external finish materials 12 to hold the same, and attaching portions 7 for fixing the engaging portions 4 to the backing 15. The attaching portions 7 each are equipped with unevenness adjusting screws 8 for adjusting the distance between the backing 15 and the engaging portions 4.
