PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproduction system that reproduces video recording information corresponding to a reproduced date and time. SOLUTION: A video recording and reproducing device 100 includes a video recording section 110 that records program information and advertisement information received from a broadcast unit 200, a program information storage section 112 that stores a position of the advertisement information in the program information and a date and time when the advertisement information is recorded in the case of recording by the video recording section 110, a substitute information storage section 114 that requests the broadcast unit 200 to transmit substitute information when a prescribed period of a reproduction date and time elapses from the date and time of recording the advertisement information and stores the substitute information sent from the broadcast unit 200 in response to the request, and a reproduction output section 108 that replaces the advertisement information stored in the video recording section 110 with the substitute information stored in the substitute information storage section 114 and reproduces the program information and the advertisement information.
