PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cylinder head structure of the four-cycle engine for a motorcycle capable of realizing the miniaturization of a cylinder head by improving the assembling of a cam sprocket and a cam chain and the maintenance. SOLUTION: A cam sprocket 46 for transmitting the drive to a valve system inside of a cylinder head 44 is arranged in a side of the cylinder head 44, and a cam chain 47 for transmitting the drive from a crank shaft 40 to the cam sprocket 46 is arranged in the same side, and a head cover 49 is arranged opposite to the cam sprocket 46. In the four-cycle engine 20 for a motorcycle with this structure, an abutment surface 49a of the cylinder head 44 and the head cover 49 is formed into such a shape that an upper part of the cam sprocket 46 can be seen from a side of the cylinder in the condition that the head cover 49 is removed.
