PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner which can be made to make combustion as one wishes at both maximum combustion time and minimum combustion time by setting the turn down ratio at a large value and can comparatively make combustion as one whishes even between the maximum combustion and minimum combustion. SOLUTION: This burner B is provided with a primary oxygen-containing gas discharging section 1a which generates a primary mixed gas by discharging a primary oxygen-containing gas against a fuel gas from a fuel gas discharging section 3a and a secondary oxygen-containing gas discharging section 2a which discharges a secondary oxygen-containing gas against a flame F formed by burning the primary mixed gas. The burner B is also provided with a throttling means 7 which imparts a throttling action to the primary mixed gas and a secondary oxygen-containing gas flowing-in section 12 which is positioned between a primary mixed gas discharging section 8 and the secondary oxygen-containing gas discharging section 2a and allows the secondary oxygen-containing gas to flow in a combustion space R. The burner is constituted to suck the secondary oxygen-containing gas from the section 12 by utilizing the ejector action of the primary mixed gas generated by means of the throttling means 7.
