摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method and its device which improve the recording density of an optical recording medium and can change a recording density of the unit recording section. SOLUTION: A carrier signal is detected at every first unit section on the optical recording medium where the synchronizing signal dividing a track on the recording medium into a plurality of first unit sections having prescribed sizes and the address information instructing the respective first unit sections to take time information forms are modulated by the prescribed carrier signal and are preformatted. Address information is restored by the detected carrier signal and restored address information is converted into a linear code. The linear code is counted by a clock signal varied by the size of a second unit section having a size different from the first unit section. Logic address information instructing the second unit section is generated. A recording clock signal varied by the recording density of the second unit section is generated. User information is recorded on the optical recording medium in synchronism with the recording clock signal so that it corresponds to the second unit section.
