PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the miniaturization of the automatic depositing and paying device of valuable mediums such as an ATM. SOLUTION: A cash center 11 for housing cash in a cash cassette 9, a plurality of ATMs 10-1 to 10-n for performing depositing and paying processing of the cash housed in the cassette 9 to be exchange-mounted and an operation center 12 for managing the depositing and paying processing of the cash are connected to a network N. The cassette 9 holds an ID code 9a, the center 11 gives information on the ID of the cassette 9, the amount of the cash and the ID of an ATM to be mounted to the center 12. The ATMs 10-1 to 10-n are respectively provided with an ID reading part 1 for reading the ID 5a of their own ATMs is 10-1 to 10-n and the ID of the cassette 9 and a control part 2 which inquires of the center 12 by using the read ID and ID 5a to perform the depositing and paying processing of the cash by using the cassette 9 when the ID corresponds to the ID 5a.
