PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for inspecting the mounted form of an error correction code and the accuracy of error correction code algorithm. SOLUTION: This device uses an error injection module (120) and injects a random error to an error correction code(ECC) circuit between an encoder (115) and a decoder (135). The encoder encodes a data bit together with a check bit and generates an encoded signal. After the error injection module changes the encoded signal, the decoder decodes the encoded signal. The output of the decoder can be a signal without an error, a one-bit error signal, an error signal of a plurality of bits and an error position signal. A monitor module (140) compares an outputted signal with a predicted value to decide whether or not an error exists in an ECC or an ECC circuit.
