PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character symbol input switch device having an excellent operability capable of confirming undefined character at hand. SOLUTION: This character symbol input switch device is provided with plural switches to which plural character symbols to be inputted are assigned so that the desired character symbols can be inputted according to the transition of the assignment. A display means for displaying the transition state of each assignment is disposed in each switch or in the vicinity of the switch.
