<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel gasification method which enables acquisition of a gasified fuel without causing the generation of a large equipment cost to a gasification furnace. SOLUTION: In the gasification tube 18 of an oxidizing furnace 16, a fuel such as finely powdered coal is reacted with steam under a specified pressure at a specified temperature to form a product gas containing hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide. Then, the raw gas thus obtained is led to a cyclone 3, and a purified gas is obtained by separating the residue from the raw gas. According to this method, the temperature to be retained in the gasification of a fuel can be maintained low, and the gasification furnace can be inexpensively constituted without causing the generation of a large equipment cost. Further, the calorific value of the purified gas can markedly be increased.</p> |
