PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work stopper device having a structure allowing easy and speedy axially positioning operation of a work when mounting the work and supporting on a work spindle of a machine tool. SOLUTION: This work stopper device comprises a stopper body 5 fixedly provided in the inside of the hollow part 1a in the work spindle 1, a bar-like slide stopper 6 axially movably inserted into and supported by a through-hole 10 in the stopper body 5, having an abutting part 16 for abuttingly supporting the end surface Wa of the work W at its tip, and a stopper fixing part 7 for fixing the slide stopper 6 to the stopper body 5. The stopper fixing part 7 has a structure that integrally fixes the slide stopper 6 to the stopper body 5 by rotation operation of the slide stopper 6 in the locking direction and releases the fixing state of the slide stopper 6 to the stopper body 5 by rotation operation of the slide stopper 6 in the unlocking direction.
