PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long and narrow tile of a chopped face capable of being developed to new applications and a method for manufacturing it stably. SOLUTION: For a til of >=8 in a ratio of a long side to a short side of a front surface being a chopped face, its manufacturing method is provided wherein a body molded product is ruptured and backed to manufacture the tile having the chopped face being a surface to be ruptured as the front surface. The body molded product 12 is an almost rectangular parallelepiped extrusion molded product, and constituted of two almost the same rectangular parallelepiped blocks 18 and 19. Those two rectangular parallelepiped blocks are connected mutually by connection parts 221 and 222 wherein at least each one piece is provided on both sides of a longitudinal central axis of the body molded product, and the body molded product is ruptured by a surface crossing at right angles a slit group including the longitudinal central axis and the connection parts.
