PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing case which sufficiently eliminates influences from surrounding circumstances and external environment without breaker or contaminating glass sheets for liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The packing case for glass sheets for liquid crystal display is composed of a case main body 2 and a lid 3, which are mutually fixed by clasps 8a, 8b with the aid of a ring-like elastic sealing material 7. In this packing case, the case main body 2 is constituted of combination of surface-smooth members made of a resin, or combination of, for example, surface-smooth plate members formed of a laminated plate of plastic and a metallic material, and the respective members have a plurality of hollow parts which are divided by ribs.
