PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide simply structured car cooling equipment for an elevator car capable of discharging drain water from a car drain tank into a pit tank of a pit without scattering. SOLUTION: This cooling equipment of a elevator car comprises a cooling device body 4 disposed on the car 3, the drain tank 5 disposed on a side surface of the car 3 for reserving drain water from the cooling device body 4, and the pit tank 6 disposed in the pit 2A in a hoistway 2 oppositely to a drain opening 5A in the drain tank 5. The car cooling device discharges drain water from the drain opening 5A in the drain tank 5 toward the pit tank 6 when the car 3 stops at the lowest floor landing. The drain opening is provided with a drain guiding body 8 with substantially funnel-like cross section instead of a mesh filter.
