PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving the steering stability and the durability together with the fittability to and the uniformity with a rim. SOLUTION: Carcass layer bodies 1A and 1B are disposed so as to reach right and left bead parts 4 from a tread part 2, and both ends 1e in the width direction of the tire are terminated in the vicinity of a bead core 6 without being wound around the bead core 6. A carcass hold layer 8 returned from the inner circumferential side to the outer circumferential side of each bead core 6 is provided, the ends 1e of the carcass layer bodies 1A and 1B are housed by the carcass hold layer 8, and the carcass layer bodies 1A and 1B are formed of a textile cord and the carcass hold layer 8 is formed of a steel cord.
