PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a device for judging whether the quality of welding is acceptable or unacceptable, by measuring and analyzing in advance a temperature rise and the waveform characteristics in an energizing time when performing the welding because the quality of the weld zones of an electronic device, etc., which have been welded by a resistance welding machine is affected by the fluctuations of welding conditions, by setting the limiting range of the welding conditions (welding currents, energizing time and pressure force) and by comparing the measured values of the temperature rise and the energizing time required when welding a product in this limiting range. SOLUTION: The device for judging whether the quality of the welding is acceptable or unacceptable is characterized in that the judging device is equipped with: a weld data storing part in which the welding conditions required when performing the welding, the temperature of the weld zone 16 and the resistance value of the weld zone 16 when performing the welding are stored in advance with a correspondence; a temperature detecting means for measuring the temperature of the weld zone 16 when performing the welding; and a means for judging the acceptability or unacceptability which converts the resistance value of the weld zone 16 corresponding to a measured temperature on the basis of the weld data storing part, which compares the resistance value with a judgement limiting range for the acceptability or unacceptability of the quality of the welding, which has been determined in advance and which judges the acceptability or unacceptability of the quality of the welding of the weld zone 16.
