PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel phosphorylcholine derivative and its intermediate and provide a method for producing the same and its use as a surfactant. SOLUTION: This phosphorylcholine derivative is expressed by general formula 1, wherein X expresses an-8-24C hydrocarbon; R1 to R3 express each the same or different and a 1-4C alkyl; AO express each a 2-4C alkyleneoxy, are the same or different and they can be randomly added or in block; m expresses 1-50 integer; n expresses 2-4 integer and its intermediate is expressed by formula 2 (X, AO, m and n express the same as described above). This method for producing the derivative comprises reacting the intermediate with a tertiary amine expressed by general formula 5 (R1 to R3 are each as previously defined).
