PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the outflow of a material to be applied by closing the inflow port of the material to be applied by a hydraulic pressure produced in a cylinder by a reciprocating piston when a pump is stopped so as to interrupt an application operation in an apparatus for preventing an outflow of the material to be applied in a paste applicator for opening and closing the inflow port of the material to be applied to a nozzle by an increasing and decreasing hydraulic pressure produced in a hydraulic pressure generating apparatus. SOLUTION: A hydraulic pressure inlet of a hydraulic pressure pipe 18 is arranged opposingly to the inflow port 15 of the material to be applied. The inflow port 15 of the material to be applied can be opened and closed by the piston 16 worked toward the inflow port 15 of the material to be applied by the hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pressure inlet.
