PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of an ink remaining inside an ink cartridge at the time of collection. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge comprises an ink storage chamber 2 storing an ink 1 in the inside, and an ink absorbing member storage chamber 9 storing an ink absorber 5 made of a porous substance in the inside, for absorbing the ink and generating a negative pressure. The ink storage chamber 2 and the ink absorbing member storage chamber 9 are communicated by a communication part 3 inserted slidably in a connection part 10. In the case where the ink cartridge is collected or it is unused, an ink supplying opening 6 is sealed by an O ring 7 mounted on an elongating part 15 in a bottom part 11 of the ink storage chamber 2 so as to prevent leakage of the ink remaining in the ink absorber 5 to the outside. |
