PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nylon resin base material for belt, good in adhesion to rubber and having enough flexural fatigue resistance when used as the base material for belt, and to provide a belt given by using the same. SOLUTION: This nylon resin base material for belt comprises a polyamide resin obtained by adding caprolactam to nylon 6, or a polyamide resin composition obtained by adding an inorganic nucleating agent and/or a metallic soap to the above polyamide resin, wherein the base material is uniaxially drawn and has a tensile strength of 0.40-1.00 Mpa at 5% elongation when measured at 23 deg.C.
