PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that the opening/closing time of a crossing gate is prolonged, the control is complicated and the cost is high in a conventional opening/closing device of the crossing gate for regulating the traffic which opens/closes the crossing gate by controlling a motor. SOLUTION: This opening/closing device of the crossing gate for regulating the traffic comprises a case 1 installed in a place for the traffic control such as a toll gate for a freeway and a parking lot, the crossing gate 2 pivotably supported by the case in an opening/closing manner, a permanent magnet 4 fitted close to a base end of the crossing gate, and electromagnets 5, 6, 8, 81-8n fixed to positions facing the permanent magnet in the case.
