PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus and method capable of inspecting coming-off of a film package comprised of a transparent film. SOLUTION: The film package inspecting apparatus is provided with irradiating devices 11 and 12 to have the film package 1, wrapped with a transparent film, irradiated with a light polarized in a prescribed direction of polarization, an image pickup element 22 for detecting the light from the film package 1 to acquire color information, an analyzer 21 arranged between the film package 1 and image pickup element 22, and a means 52 for turning over the fold up part of the film of the film package 1. Since the film package inspecting device is provided with the means 52 for turning over the fold up part, package failures, such as peeling, can be emphasized. |
