PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-fitting preventing connector which is structured so as to surely prevent incomplete fitting, when fitting make and female connectors. SOLUTION: In this half-fitting preventing connector 1, a pair of flexible arms 11a, 11b are provided in the upper par of a housing 2a of a male connector 2, and engagement parts 12a, 12b are provided at their tips. A pair of locking members 22a, 22b are provided in the upper part of the housing 3a of a female connector 3, and arm-guiding surfaces 23a, 23b are provide on their inside surfaces, while locking step parts 24a, 24b are provided at the rear ends of them. An inclined protuberance 25, having a flat plate part 25a and a taper surface 25b, is provided on a housing body 6. When fitting the connector, the pair of flexible arms 11a, 11b deflect inwardly and upwardly, while sliding on the arm guiding surfaces 23a, 23b and the taper surface of the inclined protuberance 25, and thereby incomplete fitting can be prevented surely.
