PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent tilting direction of bristles from being opposite to a rotation direction of a rotor due to a mounting direction error, in a brush- shaped seal for sealing between facing rotor and stator which has a brush storing casing that is mounted to the stator or the rotor, comprises a cover plate and a support plate, has a peripheral surface and a pair of side surfaces, and includes the bristles so as to direct tips toward the rotor or the stator. SOLUTION: The brush storing casing 2 has first positioning means 13, 15, 23, and 26 on one of the pair of side surfaces 6 and 7 or the peripheral surface 5. These first positioning means engage with second positioning means 14, 16, and 22 provided for the stator 9, the rotor 10, or a fixing member 24 separated from them correspondingly to the first positioning means, thereby adequately positioning the brush storing casing. |
