PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shaking of a subject image due to the shake of a camera from being imprinted in an image pickup means by avoiding the lowering of a shaking correcting operation due to the consumption of a battery in exposing operation while performing the shaking correcting operation. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with a photographing optical system, an exposing means 22 for exposing the subject image on the image pickup means for picking up the image, a shaking correcting means 33 for driving some lenses of the photographing optical system in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the photographing optical system so as to correct the shaking of the subject image, a checking means 24 for checking the remaining capacity of the battery 13 as a power source, and a control means 23 for controlling at least one of the means 22 and the means 33 based on the checked results by the checking means 24 while the shaking is corrected by the means 33. |
