PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufting apparatus comprising a small-sized yarn exchanger and capable of rapidly and surely exchanging yarns and easily carrying out maintenance. SOLUTION: This tufting apparatus comprises the yarn exchanger equipped with one yarn lead-out port opened toward a yarn inlet of a hollow needle, a plurality of yarn introduction ports capable of introducing the yarns and yarn feed passages for connecting the yarn lead-out port and the introduction ports and further gas jetting ports for jetting a compressed gas toward the yarn inlet of the hollow needle and forming a negative pressure near the yarn lead-out port.
