PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system allowing a user, particularly a person unacquainted with a computer such as aged people, to use an electronic mail without handling the keyboard and mouse of a computer. SOLUTION: The electronic mail 2 addressed to the service user 7 is received by a computer 3. Mail data are converted here and delivered to a printing apparatus 4. The user 7 sees the reception paper discharged from the printing apparatus 4 and confirms the mail, and return paper 6 is simultaneously discharged. Since a return address is bar-coded and printed on the return paper, a computer 9 analyzes it and knows a return addressee. The user 7 writes a reply on the return paper 6 and transmits it to a prescribed FAX number. The FAX is received by the computer 9 and data-converted into an electronic mail. The generated reply mail 10 is transmitted to a mail address decoded from the bar code.
