PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen life of a crank sprocket and a timing chain by easily ensuring an amount of oil required for lubricating the timing chain, lubricating a biting part of the crank sprocket and the timing chain even immediately after starting an engine or starting at a low temperature, and reducing wear of the crank sprocket and the timing chain, and to reduce generation of a noise by properly meshing the crank sprocket with the timing chain even after a long operation. SOLUTION: A chain guide consists of a guide part restricting swing of the timing chain and a receiving part covering the crank sprocket, and the receiving part consists of a lower part opposing to the biting part of the crank sprocket and the timing chain and a side part opposing to a side surface of the crank sprocket. The receiving part is provided in front of an outside surface of a bearing cap.
