PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent fiber having both of practicable water- repellency and durability of the water-repellency, and further to provide a water- repellent fiber sheet. SOLUTION: This water-repellent fiber is characterized in that a compound comprising a polyvinylidene fluoride and tetrafluoroethylene oligomer is present at least on the surface. The water-repellent fiber sheet includes the water- repellent fiber.
