PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building forming method which can easily impart high moisture absorptive performance to a wall, and is excellent in practical utility and workability. SOLUTION: A mixture containing cement and carbide mixed therein is applied to a wall portion 2 of a building 1, such as the wall, a roof, and a floor, to form a carbide layer 3. By virtue of the carbide layer 3, the moisture absorptive performance is imparted to the wall portion 2.
