PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified roof capable of repairing a new roof on an exiting slate roof left as it is. SOLUTION: This modified roof is formed by fixing hook bolts 4 in a corrugated slate existing roof having consecutive arc-like parts 2 and 2, modifying clip B respectively provided with a storing void part 7c projected upward at a base plate part 7a of an enclosure 7 and having a fixing through hole 7c1 formed in the central area thereof, and downward inclined engaging projecting parts 8 and 8 from the upper ends on both sides in the cross direction of the enclosure 7, and a modifying roof plate material C1 constructed so that an overlapped angled part 11 is formed on one end side in eth cross direction of a main plate 10, an overlapping angled part 12 is formed on the other end side, and the overlapped angled part 11 and the overlapping angled part 12 are respectively provided with engaging bent pts 13 and 13 engaged with the engaging projecting parts 8 and 8 of the modifying clip B. The modifying clip B are fixed to the arc-like angle parts 2 through the fixing hook bolt 4, the overlapped angled part 11 and the overlapping angled part 12 of the adjacent modifying roof plate materials C1 and C1 are disposed and superposed on the modifying suspension B, and the engaging bent parts 13 and 13 are engaged with the engaging projecting parts 8 and 8 of the modifying clip B.
